In the beginning of the month, at Computex, AMD showed its second generation 32 core Threadripper CPU. It has 64 threads and it is based on the 12nm Zen+ architecture. It will be compatible to company’s TR4 motherboards, so that’s a good thing too. But, what about the price? Latest update on the market tips us about this particular subject.

A German tech retailer website Videocardz.com entered AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990X into its website and revealed the pricing for it. 1509 Euros is a very good price and that means roughly 1745$. So, it could be as low as 1500$ in worldwide. Just to remind, the pricing of the 18 core Intel i9 7980XE processor is 1999$. This will be very bold move from AMD, and I will believe this move will force Intel to drop its prices a little.

After the price for AMD’s new flagship has spotted, the web page has taken down. But the Google cache copy stil exists. It is been said that AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990X has a result of 6399 points from Cinebench, but we’ll see how accurate it is when it releases.
